Archbishop Metropolitan Doyle Volentine is a member of the College of Bishops for The International Christian Church Network. Along with his late wife Reverend Carolyn Volentine, they affectively ministered the Gospel, planted churches, authored books, and travelled internationally for many years.
Archbishop Metropolitan Volentine is a graduate of Northwestern State University (B.A. in Government). Post-graduate certificates and training include areas of Education, Criminal Justice. Law Enforcement at Northeast LA Univ., and Pastoral Studies through Candler seminary, an extension of Emory University at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He received an M. Div. and D.Th., from All Nations Seminary, Texas, USA.
He has founded God’s Peace Ministry, Inc., serving churches in an international capacity as guest evangelist, preacher, and seminar leader. Prior to full time ministry, Archbishop Metropolitan volentine was an employee of the State of Louisiana, completing 30 years of State Civil Service.
Before ordination as a priest in the Anglican tradition, he served as a pastor in several United Methodist Churches within USA. His appointments included Pastor of Merryville UMC, Co-pastor with his wife Carolyn at Gueydan and Kaplan UMC, and Pastor of the Basile UMC. Prior to serving the church as clergy, he was actively involved in lay ministry. He served as co-director of Louisiana Aldersgate Renewal Ministries, a Spirit-filled Ministry. He helped to establish the Kairos Prison Ministry in Louisiana and continued as an active participant with Kairos for 12 years at the Winn Correctional Center, LA. In addition to Kairos, Bishop Doyle has evangelized in prisons located in Ruston, Farmerville, Crowley, and Waterproof, LA. It was also his privilege to be a Ministry Associate in the Ministry of Grambling Christian Center, Grambling, Louisiana.
In addition to home mission work, Archbishop Metropolitan Doyle has traveled overseas. An evangelism trip to Nigeria in 1993 resulted in the planting of two new churches. In 1995 and 1998 he was privileged to travel with Patriarch John Githiga and participated as a presenter in seminars for pastors and spouses and as a guest preacher to Anglican Church of Kenya congregations. The blessing of the Holy Spirit was confirmed in two trips toYekaterinburg, Russia, gateway to Siberia, in 1997 and 1999. During these visits Russian national television broadcast his preaching to prisoners at the largest prison in Russia. He continued his witness in preaching to the women in women’s prison, taught seminars on the work and person of the Holy Spirit. In 1998 and 2000 Archbishop Doyle and his wife visited India. There the work varied from ministering in a leper colony, street preaching, ministering at a North India Pastors Conference, preaching in small Christian churches, and evangelising and church planting in remote jungle mountain areas.
Following his elevation to Archbishop Metropolitan within the All Nations Anglican Church in 2010 he has made further missionary trips to India, Africa, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. Alongside his wife Revd. Carolyn he has gained an international reputation as an man who is able to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, to an array of culturally diverse international congregations.
