Bishop Evans Receives International Award

The Right Reverend Steven Lyn Evans Presiding Bishop of The International Christian Church Network (TICCN) and based at Living Faith Church in Orrell, Wigan, was presented with the CLAAS (Centre For Legal Aid Assistance & Settlement) International Humanitarian Award for 2017. Alongside BishopEvans and also receiving the same award was fellow TICCN representative Bishop Yousaf Nadeem of Warrington, President of His Grace Churches International based in Pakistan.

The presentation took place on Sunday 4th January at the Hilton London Kensington Hotel by Mr. M. A. Joseph Francis MBE International Director CLAAS based in Pakistan. Mr. Francis MBE from Pakistan visited London on route to Washington DC for a meeting with President Donald Trump.

The award is given for faithful continuing service, and support, towards the peoples of Pakistan and around the world. This work, over several years, has involved among other things, the provision of emergency funding for the poor, medical supplies for orphans, and ongoing strategic planning; for example, working towards sustainable businesses in poor communities. Bishop Evans commented that: “this award is a testimony to the many believers who generously give their time and resources towards the ministry work that we are involved with.” He went on to say that, “without the biblical example of Jesus Christ, none of this work would be taking place.”
